Hyderabad, India – June 16, 2025 – The much-awaited teaser of “The Raja Saab”, featuring Pan-India superstar Prabhas, was released today and has taken social media by storm. Directed by Maruthi and produced by TG Vishwa Prasad under the People Media Factory banner, this horror-comedy brings a fresh and exciting change for Prabhas, who has mostly done action and drama films in recent years. The film is scheduled to release in theaters on December 5, 2025.
The teaser, officially released today after an earlier leak that led to a strict warning from the filmmakers, shows Prabhas in a colorful and sometimes quirky style. It hints at a mix of supernatural elements, comedy, and romance. Many viewers are comparing it to the popular “Bhool Bhulaiyaa” movies because of its fun blend of horror and humor.
The story is said to be about a young man who is facing money problems and wants to get back his ancestral property. This journey takes him to a mysterious and possibly haunted haveli (mansion). There are also rumors that Prabhas will play a double role, which adds more curiosity to the storyline. The movie stars Nidhhi Agerwal, Malavika Mohanan (making her debut in Telugu cinema), and Riddhi Kumar in important roles. Veteran Bollywood actors Sanjay Dutt and Boman Irani are also part of the cast, making it a true Pan-India film.
Director Maruthi, who is known for his hit Telugu films, shared his excitement about working with Prabhas. He said, “This is my first time working with him. I wanted to show him as a vintage darling, and I did finally.” This has led fans to wonder if the film will include a throwback to Prabhas’s earlier romantic roles.
“The Raja Saab” has been in the news even before the teaser came out. Filming started in October 2022, and the team considered several titles before finalizing “The Raja Saab.” The filmmakers also built a huge 41,256 square feet haveli set, which is said to be India’s biggest horror film set, raising expectations even more about the film’s scale and visual appeal.
